DAY 1
Arrival in Paris
On arrival at the airport welcome and transfer to your charming boutique hotel in the center of Paris. Free time to relax and wander in the lively streets around your hotel.
DAY 2
Introduction to Paris
After breakfast, your private driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel for a 2-hour private sightseeing tour of Paris. You will see all the historic and famous sites – your guide will be able to explain historical and fun facts but also answer all the questions you might have. Your tour will end at the Eiffel Tower for a self-guided visit to the top floor with skip-the-line access. Free afternoon to explore Paris Left Bank.
DAY 3
A day to meet the Impressionnists
After breakfast, you guide will pick you up at your hotel for a private visit of the Orsay museum to discover the impressionists collections and your guide will tell you everything about this movement. You will then cross the river Seine and go to the Orangerie museum to see the gigantic Monet’s Nympheas. Free time in the afternoon. If you are passionate about impressionist’s art you could then go into a secret museum which has an even larger collection of Monet’s works.
DAY 4
Boheme in Montmartre
After breakfast, you will have a 2-hour private tour in Montmartre to walk in the footsteps of many 19th & early 20th centuries artists and feel the Boheme atmosphere. You will walk the cobblestones streets, discover hidden places and unique vineyards, and have a breathtaking view over Paris from the feet of the white Sacré-Coeur basilica. Free time in the afternoon with stroll suggestion.
DAY 5
Le Louvre
In the morning, your private guide will pick you up to discover the most famous museum of Paris: Le Louvre. Your guide will of course show you the three great ladies — the Venus de Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, and Mona Lisa. But you will also be able to admire other masterpieces, famous or not according to your wishes and of course have a look at the gorgeous Galerie d’Apollon. Free time in the afternoon.
DAY 6
Monet's Garden & departure for Normandy
After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. You will be transferred to Bayeux in Normandy. On your way to Bayeux you will have a 3-hour stop in Giverny and have a private visit of Monet’s house and garden. After lunch you will head towards your B&B in Bayeux whilst admiring the countryside.
DAY 7
D-Day
Today, you will be visiting the WWII D-Day sites. Whilst walking on old footsteps you will be able to rely on a knowledgeable and experimented guide all along your tour to help you understand the details of Operation Overlord. At every stop on the sites, your guide will explain the situation and the strategy on both sides.
DAY 8
Free day in Bayeux
After breakfast, take your time to relax and stroll in Bayeux. You can visit the famous Bayeux Tapestry and you could also go to The Memorial museum of the battle of Normandy.
DAY 9
Mont St Michel
Today explore the French countryside: you will be transferred to Saint-Malo and will stop by the Mont Saint-Michel for a self-guided visit. The Mont Saint-Michel is a granitic island in the middle of a huge bay and is famous for its Abbey. From there you will have a stunning view of the bay. After your visit you will continue your way to Saint-Malo enjoying the lovely costal and country views.
DAY 10
Free day in St Malo walled town
Relaxing free day at your leisure to discover this former corsair town. Plenty of time to eat crepes and to walk along the rampart and the seawall.
DAY 11
Breton pastry cooking
In the afternoon you will have a pastry class to learn how to cook traditional Breton pastries. You will cook with your private chef Breton biscuits and cakes such as the famous Kouign Amann or Palets Bretons and even salted caramel.
DAY 12
Departure
In the morning you will take the train to Paris and then be transferred to the airport.
