Paris-Lyon

DAY 1: WELCOME TO PARIS

On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed and transferred to your charming boutique hotel in the center of Paris. You will then have free time to relax and wander in the lively streets around your hotel. (Depending on your hotel area, we will advise you where to go.)

DAY 2: PARIS INTRODUCTION

After breakfast, meet your private guide for an introduction of Paris with a walking tour on the Islands (Ile de la Cité and Ile Saint-Louis). Your guide will introduce Paris’ history while walking in front of many famous monuments. Then, you will be headed to the Sainte-Chapelle where you will be amazed in discovering the gothic architecture and the beautiful colored stained-glass. Then, you will finish this walking tour in Saint Louis Island where the French aristocracy used to live in private mansions.

After lunch, make your way to the Eiffel Tower for a self-guided visit with skip-the-line tickets to enjoy Paris from above. On the Top Floor, enter the former office of Gustave Eiffel himself and learn about scientific experiences conducted from the top of the tower. Last but not least, after your visit explore the Champs de Mars and stroll around this huge natural garden to take fun pictures of the tower from different angles.

To beautifully end your day, you will be driven by your private chauffeur to a luxury dinner cruise. You will enjoy a gastronomic dinner prepared by an awarded Chef and you will also be able to marvel at the enlightened monuments of Paris at night.

DAY 3: LOUVRE MASTERPIECES & COVERED GALLERIES

In the morning, you will be picked-up by your private guide for a private visit of the Louvre museum.  Your private guide will give you knowledge about masterpieces that you will find inside. Of course, you will be able to realize one of your big dream by finally seeing the Mona Lisa and many others such as Venus of Milo, Winged Victory, the seated Scribe… Your private guide will also made you understand about the palace of Le Louvre itself, how its construction started in the Middle age and how it became as famous as it is nowadays.

During the afternoon have free time to stroll around the city of Paris. You could go visit the famous covered passages (Galerie Vivienne, Panoramas and Vero Dodat). These covered passages were mostly created during the 19^th century. While you will be exploring, you will be able to discover and enjoy a typical architecture of early 19^th century Paris. You will also find on your way window shopping opportunities with fashion boutiques, tea & pastry shops…

DAY 4: WELCOME TO LYON

After breakfast you will be transferred to the train station and you will take the high-speed train from Paris to Lyon, a great way to discover French beautiful landscapes. After dropping off your luggage at the hotel you will be taken by your private passionate guide to spend the afternoon discovering the charming town of Lyon.

During this walking tour, you will learn about the Old Lyon history by taking its most secret passageways known as traboules, be enchanted by the typical architecture of Lyon during the Renaissance period. Also, to make you feel like a real Lyonnais you will be able to taste its iconic products of gastronomy like the Rosette saucisson, the St Marcellin cheese or pastries with pink Pralines.

DAY 5: BEAUJOLAIS WINE TOUR

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel by your private guide for a full day experience through the vineyards and know more about the Beaujolais.

The Beaujolais is produced in the north of Lyon. To realize the wine, professional winemakers use only one variety of grape, Gamay. This full day experience will make you an expert on the Beaujolais wine harvesting and processing.

During this day, you will have the opportunity to know everything about the Beaujolais wine region. As the Beaujolais has a number of different areas, you will start by Blacé, a lovely village of the Rhone department. There, you will go around the learning paths in the vineyards to taste several Beaujolais Crus with a special winemaker.

You will then, go to a picturesque village where you will have the chance to taste wines in a spectacular cave from the 12th century.

Last but not least, your expert will drive you south through the golden stone regions where you will discover medieval villages and taste the Beaujolais nouveau. Along the route be prepare to witness many hilltops villages.

DAY 6: TRAIN BACK TO PARIS

In the morning, your private driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Lyon train station. Take the high-speed train to Paris before you are transferred by private car to CDG airport.
